What does going to the acadmeny do? If i go will I not be able to come back to the quests I'm currently doing?

yes, once you go to the academy you cant do any more pre-searing ascalon quests. going to the academy advances the story.

Should I Finish all of the pre- searing quest? or does it not really matter?
